Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We've got answers.
How do I add movies to my collection?
You can use the 'Scanner' feature to scan barcodes via your camera, or search for titles manually. If a movie isn't in our database, you can use the 'Add Movie' page to submit it manually.
Is Slipcover free to use?
Yes! Slipcover is currently 100% free for all collectors. We may introduce premium features in the future, but the core collection management tools will always stay free.
How does the 'Wishlist' work?
When you find a movie you don't own yet, click the 'Add to Wishlist' button. This keeps a separate list of movies you're hunting for, which you can easily share with friends.
Can I import my collection from other sites?
Yes! We support CSV imports from Blu-ray.com. Go to the 'Import' page, paste your CSV data, and we'll match it to our database.
What formats are supported?
We primarily track 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats. We're focused on physical media collection.
How do I print my collection?
Navigate to your profile and click the 'PRINT' tab in the navigation menu. Then click 'Open Print View' to generate a printer-friendly layout of all your movies, perfect for saving as a PDF or printing to paper.
Where can I find statistics about my collection?
Navigate to your profile and click the 'STATS' tab. There you can explore deep insights including your format breakdown, top genres, directors, actors, and total viewing runtime.
How can I change the poster for a movie in my collection?
Navigate to your collection, select a movie to view its details, and use the left and right arrow buttons under the poster image to cycle through all available artwork.
What are Checklists and how do they work?
Checklists are curated collections of movies, distinct from your personal lists. They serve as tracking guides for completing specific sets—like a director's filmography—automatically highlighting which titles you already own and showing you what you're missing.
What happens if I find a duplicate or incorrect entry?
Every movie entry page has a Bad Data button where you can report problems for review.
